This blend of Ceylon teas comes from estates in the highlands around Adam's Peak, the sacred mountain in Sri Lanka's central hill country. The leaves are selected as Orange Pekoe: long, slender, open leaves that unfurl slowly in the pot. The result is a bright, golden red cup that tastes fresh and lively, with notes of citrus and honey and a clean, invigorating finish.
Brewing advice: 2.5 to 3 g per 250 ml, water at 95 °C, steep for 3 to 4 minutes. The long leaf needs a little time: at around 4 minutes the aroma is at its best.
Plain, it is wonderfully refreshing; with a splash of milk it turns round and full; served over ice it is a true thirst quencher. A versatile black tea for every moment of the day, from breakfast to afternoon.
