English licorice

English liquorice is an assortment of semi-soft liquorice sweets in different colours and shapes. The idea comes from the British tradition, where liquorice is offered not as a single sweet but as a mixture: layers of liquorice alternating with coloured sugar layers, in cubes, rounds and rolls. A single bag therefore gives a different combination of liquorice and sugar each time, which makes the whole milder than pure liquorice.
