Formosa Lapsang Souchong is made from the large, more mature tea leaves at the bottom of the tea plant. After fermentation, these leaves are placed on a hot plate to roast briefly. The tea is then smoked over a pine fire. This gives the Formosa Lapsang Souchong the typical smoky, woody taste. Ideal on cold winter evenings.
Our pure Formosa Lapsang Souchong has a sharp smoky taste and pronounced spicy aroma. The leaves are large, open and light gray to black.
