Laurel licorice

Laurel liquorice is a semi-soft black liquorice with a bay laurel flavour, rectangular in shape with a laurel leaf pressed into the surface. It's one of the oldest liquorice varieties we carry, from a time when liquorice was still made with herbs that belonged as much to the kitchen as to the apothecary. Laurel gives a herbal, lightly bitter note that deepens the liquorice flavour rather than softening it. The result is an outspoken liquorice for anyone looking for the classic tastes.
