Licorice root

Liquorice root is the root itself, not a sweet that tastes of it. It's the starting point for almost all our liquorice: from this root comes the juice that gives liquorice its characteristic dark, sweet flavour. You chew or suck on the woody stick, and the sweetness is released gradually. Liquorice root was given to children for generations as a natural alternative to sweets, and that tradition continues. It's one of the few products in our range with nothing added to it.
