Darjeeling FTGFOP1 Namring

Namring Garden is located at the foothills of the Himalayas in the West Bengal region. The teas from the higher areas are more aromatic and are characterized by the predicate "upper".

This Namring FTGFOP1 (Finest Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe 1) 1st Flush means that this tea comes from the first pluck of tea after the plants come out of hibernation and the subsequent spring rains have ended.

The leaves are quite green (for a black tea) and produce a light cup with a delicate flavour. This particular first flush is quite smooth and creamy, not spicy. It is clear, with a slight astringency that dries the mouth and prolongs the taste.

This rarity is definitely a tea for the gourmet!
