Parisiennes

Parisiennes are small soft gum balls with fruit flavours, finished with a layer of sugar. It's one of the true classics of Flemish confectionery: a sweet made for generations in the same shape and size, turning up in almost every mixed bag. The small size means you take several in a row, and the sugar coating gives a grainy contrast to the soft centre. Each colour stands for its own fruit flavour. Made with gum arabic instead of gelatine.
